Index of Vanadalised Stones collates photos documenting vandalised ancient stone monuments located in Ireland, the UK and continental Europe. The images have been sourced from tabloid news websites, stolen from stock image suppliers and documented in person from site visits. The documented stones have had names scratched into their surfaces, buckets of paint thrown on top of them and symbols daubed across them. Standing stones, Cairns and Dolmens having survived millennia have become a target for iconoclasm and idiocy, the Index is collection of some prime examples.
